The Resources page is up and running.
This is a selective list of resources, mostly related to Jewish genealogy and family history. I’ve focused on information and databases that are especially useful and that you wouldn’t necessarily find — or know their value — just from googling.
I mostly don’t list the major database sites that you’ve probably already found — or can easily find if you haven’t already — by googling “genealogy” or “Jewish genealogy,” and right now, just about every database listed here is free.
I will be adding more resources over time, but the next major step is to begin to annotate the ones I’ve already listed here and, especially, to provide information on how best to use them.
I’ve got the structure of the blog pretty much set up now, I’m done with the BU course and the JGSGB/HC course, and toward the end of July or early August, I’ll be starting the one-year clock on my BCG application. Meanwhile, I have to fix the GenWeb website, which I broke awhile ago when I was updating it.
Stay tuned; we’re almost ready for prime time….
